A Message From Our Head of School

Bruchim ha’baiim (Welcome) to Hillel Academy!

Allison Oakes

One of my greatest joys is touring prospective families considering Hillel Academy as their choice in education for their families. It is during these tours that I articulate Hillel’s story; a 50 year old story that grows stronger with each passing year. Three pillars represent Hillel Academy’s story and they are on display every day of every year:

Praiseworthy Academics – students graduate from Hillel with all of the necessary tools in their toolbox to be successful wherever their path takes them next.

be successful wherever their path takes them next.

Mishpachah (“Family”) – Our Mishpacha is the heart of our school where educators, parents, and students celebrate together and where students are encouraged to make mistakes, confident that their teachers and parents, working in partnership, will support them as they learn from them and they become and even more knowledgeable and skillful individuals.

Jewish Culture and Love for Israel – students attending Hillel Academy hail from a variety of Jewish and non-Jewish backgrounds; all of which create an extraordinary fabric of celebration of Jewish culture, life, and Israel!

There is no other place in the Tampa Bay area that provides the unique experience provided by Hillel Academy. 50 years of alumni, alumni parents, faculty, and staff have called Hillel their home and remain entrenched in our beautiful community with alumni parents and grandparents now sending their own children to walk through our doors.

Whether you are searching for a school for your children; looking for a place to donate and or leave a legacy; or simply just become acquainted with the only accredited Jewish day school in the area, allow me the great opportunity to share with you this school, why I love it, why I send my own children, and how you will be welcomed into our community.

L’shalom,

Allison
