Prospective Families 101
Hello prospective families! My name is Keri and I am Hillel’s Advancement
Director. I am your point of contact for admissions, and I am so excited to
help guide you! Please take a look at the steps below which will give you an
overview of what the admissions process at Hillel Academy looks like. As
Step 1 says, the best way to get to know Hillel is coming in (or meeting us
virtually via Zoom) for a tour! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me
with any questions you might have - I am here to help in whatever way you
need. Please don't hesitate to call or text me at 813.538.2788
We look forward to having you join our wonderful Hillel Mishpacha!

you qualify for a Florida Private School Scholarship, click
HERE for more
information.
Step 5
Kindergarten through 8th-Grade: If all required
admissions and financial paperwork is completed by January 7th, families
with newly enrolling students will learn of their child’s acceptance or
waitlist status in March and will then have two weeks to sign their
enrollment agreement in order to secure their student’s spot for the
next school year. If required paperwork is completed after this date,
the admissions process will take place on a rolling basis while spots in
a class still exist.
*Please see the “Admissions Timeline” below to see if you qualify for
“Early Decision Enrollment”
**Parents of students who do not pass the admissions assessment will be
informed immediately by the Head of School along with an explanation and
recommendations for better school options.
Early Learning Center (1-year-old through
PreKindergarten/VPK):
As long as a family’s financial need does not fall below 75% of tuition
(for the students required days and times), families with newly
enrolling ELC students will learn of their child’s acceptance or
waitlist status on a rolling basis throughout the year. Families whose
financial need exceed 75% of tuition (for the students required days and
times) will automatically be waitlisted until June 1st and will then be
made aware of available spots.
In either case, newly enrolling ELC families will have two weeks to sign
their enrollment agreement to secure their child’s spot for the next
school year.
